Mobile Yard Drainage is a Mobile-focused resource for yard drainage and French drain installation across the Mobile, AL area. We are a lead-generation and referral service: we explain why Mobile yards flood — the soils, the winter water table, and the fixes — and connect homeowners with licensed, independent local drainage contractors who perform the work. We are not ourselves a licensed contractor and do not install the drainage; our role is to make the diagnosis clear and route you to a vetted professional. How This Site Is Sourced
Drainage decisions are too consequential to build on aggregator blogs. Every factual claim on this site is meant to be traceable, and here is the standard we hold it to:
- Primary sources first. Soil, rainfall, and flood facts come from primary sources — USDA-NRCS soil surveys, NOAA / National Weather Service climate data, FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program, and Alabama agencies (ALDOI, ADECA, Alabama EMA) — not second-hand summaries.
- Figures verified against the source. Numbers like Mobile's annual rainfall and how close the seasonal water table rises to the surface are checked against the agency's own data, and flagged in the text whenever a figure can't be confirmed from a primary source. What We Don't Do
A couple of things people search for that we don't handle — because neither is yard drainage:
- Interior plumbing & sewer work. A clogged sewer line or indoor plumbing is a plumber's or the utility's job, not exterior yard drainage. Our work stays outside, in the yard.
- Foundation structural repair. We route water away from your foundation and low spots; we don't underpin, pier, or rebuild the foundation itself. If the structure needs repair, that's a different trade.
